Vastix AI is a real estate technology platform using AI to improve property discovery, listing quality, and buyer-property matching. The platform uses OpenAI to power natural language property search, automated listing description generation, and AI-assisted property matching.
The project required a full-stack Next.js application with OpenAI integration, a production AWS EC2 deployment in the ap-southeast-5 region with Docker containerisation, ECR for container registry, Nginx reverse proxy, and Let's Encrypt TLS certificate management.

Production containerisation required Dockerfile creation, ECR push workflow, and Docker Compose orchestration for Next.js and database services on the EC2 instance.
Nginx needed configuring as a reverse proxy with upstream Next.js port forwarding, SSL termination, and proper header pass-through for production traffic.
TLS certificate provisioning and automated renewal via Certbot required Nginx configuration compatibility and DNS-verified domain validation for production HTTPS.
Natural language property search and automated listing description generation required OpenAI prompt engineering for consistent real estate-appropriate output quality.
Environment variables in the Next.js application required build-time baking for client-side access — resolving VITE env variable exposure constraints in the containerised build.
